Mauricios Mexican Restaurants in Bakersfield

We came for authentic Mexican cuisine and we did not leave disappointed. The guacamole is made fresh right next to the table, and it tastes fantastic. I had the shredded chicken chimichanga, it was excellent. Service was fast and friendly. The paint inside is beautiful.

Went there with party of 13 without a reservation on Friday night. We had called 5 minutes before we show up. We were seated immediately. Had six kids with us. Service was great and so was food. Fun dinner with the family.

First this place is has amazing food. second the staff is very nice. Last its decor is amazing my kids love throwing penny's into the fountain. I defiantly recommend this place to any tourists in Bakersfield. Best food in town

Family friendly restaurant. The staff is very personable and welcoming. A great atmosphere always makes the food taste that much better. I reccomend saving room in your stomach for a dessert afterwards.

It’s too bad because the food here is pretty good. However, we ate dinner last night and at the end of our meal, after the server brought us the bill, he stopped by a couple of times more tapping the metal check tray saying, “I’ll take this when you’re ready.” The repetition of his actions was a bit annoying and felt like he thought my wife and I might bolt or something. I didn’t appreciate that type of behavior when we had not been at the restaurant all that long comparatively.

I haven't been here in years, but the flautas I ordered were absolutely horrible. If I had to describe it in more detail I would say the overall temperature was barely room temperature, the chicken was rubbery and had zero flavor, and the tortillas were soggy. In addition, the chips were also cold and stale. Not sure how you mess up flautas or chips, but it happened. I would like to add that the service was great, just wish the food was up to par. :/

Jorge is the best hands down👌. Always takes care of my family. Service is always fast no matter the amount of customers there are he always takes care of us. Drinks and food are always perfect.

Lovely atmosphere great for family get-togethers. Very nice painted decor. Bathrooms we're very clean. Food was good just be sure to take food off of the skillet fast if you get the fajitas or it may burn the bottom... But food was very fresh. Only a 4 star rating for they did not have much of a selection for the kids and food wasnt worth bragging about... About what you'd make at home if you're an average cook. Not fancy but still good.

The servers were amazing and so was the food. I come here very often with my family and we always have a wonderful time, this is always our first choice when we want to go out for dinner.

Service was great. I had albondigas soup. It was good but the lime was already added which I do not like. My friend said her pot beans were very good but the main dish was greasy. My other friends had other things they liked quite well. The taco salad looked great and I wish I had had that.

This place is always a go- to spot for great food and excellent service! Highly recommend the Menudo and the San Francisco enchiladas! The fresh guacamole that is made table side is always a table favorite! You really cant go wrong here!

First restaurant post covid lockdown insanity. Food and staff were awesome and it was a great return to normalcy.

The service was great from the bartender George but the management was very unprofessional and did not allow us to get our discount for an unsolved reason. The owner and other management staff made this experience a total regret and I would highly say that this restaurant has fallen to a low spot of my favorites in town. We will not be revisiting this place.

Very good food and great service. The atmosphere was quiet and inviting. Prices are reasonable. My combination plate was $12.00.

We were looking for a little more of a bar/grill situation. It was very family oriented, with booths and casual dining atmosphere. That said, the food was very good. The cucumber jalapeno margarita and pomegranate mojito were so good I hope you try them. I did notice that in the afternoon there is a bar/patio happy I would be interested in trying, but haven't yet. Service is impeccable.

The bar is a decent size. A few tv's to watch sports. Nothing over the top. Good place for some drinks and food.

I been there before at few times. Good food. These foods look so expensive delicious in north bakersfield near farm area. Most important is that you guys cannot miss taste so top delicious chili salsa and chips where people tend waiting for. That would be make sense when you notice food are from near farm in north bakersfield.

Great service good food nice atmosphere

We have a lot of Mexican venues in town now and it seems like many of them come and go. It's easy to get lost in the mix. Mauricio's has been around a long time and doesn't get enough attention anymore.Food has always been great and the locations are always warm and inviting. Do yourself a favor and come back for a fresh reminder on why this restaurant sets itself a part from the rest. If you have never been before, stop reading this, grab ran your friends and get a table.Enjoy.

Amazing. We had a luncheon for 100 people for a very important event. Food was very good as was the service. Will definitely use them again.

Super family friendly place to eat Mexican food!

I only gave it 4 stars because I rented the banquet room and was told I would have it all day. Turns out they booked something before me, after I booked the room, and I had to push my party back. However the actual event was great. The servers and food were awesome.

Great place to eat and the salsa was bomb

Bar was infected by the glaring light from the kitchen and the over loud tv. Very limited whisky choices. Food was acceptable, salsa exceptional.

I really enjoy coming to this restaurant. I cycle between the cheese enchiladas and their fajitas. Their guacamole is really good to get whole waiting for your meal. They can get busy sometimes but the staff are attentive.
